In a show of utmost compassion and dedication to the welfare of his constituents, the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu has initiated a monthly grant disbursement program for rural dwellers in Bende Federal Constituency.

The program, which is a social welfare initiative of the Deputy Speaker, aims to provide much-needed relief funds to those in need, with a recent distribution of funds on Monday 16th September to over 120 families across the 13 electoral wards of Bende LGA.

This noble initiative was officially flagged off by the Director General of the Benjamin Kalu Movement (BKM), Hon. Emma Trumps Eke, who represented the Deputy Speaker at the disbursement exercise.

In his address, Hon. Eke encouraged the beneficiaries to remain hopeful and not lose faith in the country, as the days of adversity are drawing to a close.

He urged them to make good use of the funds, reminding them of the saying that "great things often have small beginnings."

He also reassured them of the Deputy Speaker's commitment to working with the Federal Government's Renewed Hope Programmes, in order to overcome the current challenges and accelerate the country's economic growth.

Furthermore, the BKM State Coordinator, Dr. Ogwo Okechukwu Kalu, emphasized that this initiative will not hinder the massive infrastructural development and other intervention programs led by the Deputy Speaker in Bende.

He assured that the grant will be rotated among different families on a monthly basis, in order to benefit a larger number of people.

Dr. Kalu also promised that the selection process will be transparent to ensure that only deserving families receive the grant.

The beneficiaries of this program expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, for his unwavering dedication to the betterment of his constituents.

They commended his direct touch initiatives and thanked him for effectively representing them at the National Assembly.

This is a testament to the Deputy Speaker's exceptional leadership skills and deep-rooted commitment to improving the lives of the people he serves.

Let me conclude by saying that the monthly grant disbursement program initiated by the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, is a commendable step towards uplifting the less privileged in Bende Federal Constituency.

This laudable initiative will not only provide much-needed relief to those in need but also serves as a reminder that our leaders truly care for the welfare of their people.

As we strive towards a better and brighter future, let us all support and emulate such selfless acts of service and compassion towards one another.

Together, we can build a stronger and more prosperous community.
