The Minister of Humanitarian affairs, Disaster management and social development Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq was represented by her special assistant Abdulkareem Alhasan at the training program.

After the National Anthem and the opening prayer, the Abia State Vocal person Hon Chineye Nwaogu gave the welcome address, where he welcomed the minister, his entourage and all the participants of the training program.

In the Minister's remarks, She laid emphasis on the importance of the training program for independent monitors and urged the participants to pay attention to the details of the program and get a good knowledge of the program.

Also speaking at the program was the director of National Orientation Agency Mrs Ngozi Okechukwu who gave the participants an insight of the operations and cooperation of the National Orientation Agency and the Integrated National Social Investment Program.

Speaker after speaker took turns to address the trainees at the training program.

The program which was held at the Opara Auditorium Umuahia, had in attendance participants from the 17 LGA's of Abia State.
