The ever energetic house of representatives spokesman took the sensitization drive to Umuhu Ezechi where he was welcomed by a mammoth crowd.

The people of Umuhu Ezechi gave Rep Benjamin Kalu a carnival like reception with cultural dancers on display as people trooped out in mass to catch a glimpse of the house of representatives spokesman.

The show of love displayed by the people of Umuhu Ezechi was overwhelming as Rep Benjamin Kalu sang and danced with them.

Notable amongst the dignitaries that were on ground to receive Rep. Benjamin Kalu were Lady Phil Ukeogo, Chief Dan Eze, Chief Ndubuisi, Chief Ezuruonye, Mummy Ify Chukwu, Chief Onwa Kingsley, Hon. Esobe Regina, Chief Ikpa Kalu, Benjamin Kalu Foundation BKF members and many others too numerous to mention.

Dignitaries that accompanied Rep Benjamin Kalu to Umuhu Ezechi to receive the defecting PDP, APGA and SDP members includes Chief Ikenna Ariwodo "OBINUDO BENDE", Hon Emma Eke, Hon Felix Iheanyi, Sir Nnamdi Ogidi, Chief Daniel Akwari "OSUZOR"
And a host of others too numerous to mention.

After breaking of kola nut, Hon Emma Eke did the introductions before handing over the microphone to Rep Benjamin Kalu who held the crowd spell bound for more than two hours, displaying his oratory skills while explaining in details his achievements for the people of Bende Federal Constituency in less than two years.

Rep Benjamin Kalu promised to attract more developmental projects to the area, telling his Constituents to expect more solar powered bore holes, primary health care facilities, School projects and access roads, most especially the Umuhu/ Amaeke road project which will commence before Easter this year.

He also promised to sustain the micro business grants which many people from Umuhu Ezechi were beneficiaries of and also urging them to take advantage of the All Progressive Congress APC membership revalidation/ registration exercise to register in mass and join the All Progressive Congress officially and enjoy the benefits and dividends of democracy.

In their response, the youths, the elderly men and women, speaker after speaker took turns to extol the virtues of Rep Benjamin Kalu who has brought more developmental projects to Bende Federal Constituency than his predisesors who have occupied that position since 1999.

The highlight of the occasion was when the new decampees from the people's democratic party PDP, The All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA and the Social Democratic Party SDP numbering over 800 were received into the All Progressive Congress APC by Rep Benjamin Kalu.

15 of the PDP executives in Umuhu led over 400 members to decamp to the All Progressive Congress APC, making PDP a dead party in Umuhu.
