DEFECTION GALORE IN BENDE LGA

There was a Flory of activities in Uzuakoli on Friday as drums were rolled out to welcome members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance and the people's democratic party who were officially decamping to the All Progressive Congress APC.

As usual, the ever energetic house of representatives spokesman, Rep Benjamin Kalu was there to receive them in grand style.

It will be recalled that on Thursday, Rep Benjamin Kalu also received hundreds of members of the People's democratic party PDP in Ozuitem who collapsed their structure to join the All Progressive Congress APC.

The event which took place at the country home of Chief Ikenna Ariwodo OBINUDO BENDE in Umueze, Uzuakoli,  turned out to be a celebration of brothers who have fought for their different political parties at different elections and are now uniting with the All Progressive Congress APC to form a formidable force for the betterment of Ndi Uzuakoli and Bende LGA in general.

Prof. Victor Ukaogo
Chief Daniel Akwari OSUZOR

Hon. Ubabike Ubabike
Dr Onyekweodiri Ohazurukwo and others too numerous to mention.

The decampees from the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA were led by the Bende LGA APGA chairman Mr Lawrence Chukwunaru, his deputy Sir ufomba, secretary Mr Obiakor, Women leader Mrs Stephanie and the youth leader.

Rep Benjamin Kalu also received the decampees from the PDP and equipped them with the broom and urged them to sweep out the years of backwardness, decay and bad governance in Bende LGA.
