REP BENJAMIN KALU PAYS FINAL RESPECT TO EZE ENWEREMADU

The spokesman of the house of representatives and the member representing Bende federal constituency Rep Benjamin Kalu has paid his last respect to a foremost traditional ruler in Abia State, EZE Bernard Enweremadu.  The remains of Eze Bernard Enweremadu, a foremost traditional ruler in Abia, were on Friday laid to rest in his Ngwa ukwu country home in Isialangwa North Local Government Area (LGA). Enweremadu died on Jan. 17 at the age of 77 after 44 years on the throne as the Traditional Ruler of Ahiaba Ngwaukwu Autonomous Community. In a sermon at an interdenominational church service held at Okpuala, the council headquarters, the Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Aba, Rt. Rev. Chigozirim Onyegbule, expressed delight that the deceased embraced Jesus Christ before his death. OUK CALLS FOR THE POSTPONEMENT OF APC NATIONAL CONVENTION

Former Governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Senate,  orji   uzor   kalu  has called for rescheduling of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention slated for February, 2022. He allayed fears of a collapse and an unmitigated injury the party could sustain if the National Chairman of Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the APC, Governor Mai Mala Buni, goes ahead with the convention in February. In a letter he wrote on Thursday in Abuja which he addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari and the National leadership of the APC,  kalu  identified three challenges that must be urgently addressed before the convention, which are: “Election of National Working Committee (NWC); Party crisis at State levels; and the 2023 presidential zoning.
