Urgent Need for Intervention in the Non-Payment of Independent Monitors Stipend
Dear Honorable Delu Bulus Yakubu,
We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today as one of the independent monitors under the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).
First and foremost, we would like to commend you for your exceptional leadership and the remarkable work you have done thus far in transforming the lives of countless individuals through your humanitarian deeds.
Honorable Yakubu, I am writing to bring to your attention an urgent matter that requires your immediate intervention. It has come to our attention that independent monitors, including myself, have not received our stipends since January of this year.
This unfortunate situation has caused significant financial hardship for many of us, as we rely on these stipends to sustain our livelihoods.
As independent monitors, we play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of the NSIP. Our duties involve monitoring the implementation of various social intervention programs, such as the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, the N-Power Programme, the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme.
We dedicate our time and efforts to ensure that these programs reach the intended beneficiaries and make a positive impact on their lives.
However, the non-payment of our stipends has not only affected our personal lives but also compromised our ability to carry out our responsibilities effectively.
Many of us have had to endure financial difficulties, which have hindered our ability to travel to various locations to monitor the programs and provide valuable feedback. This situation not only undermines our commitment to the NSIP but also hampers the overall success of the program itself.
Honorable Yakubu, we humbly request your intervention in this matter. We understand that you have numerous responsibilities and challenges to address, but we kindly urge you to prioritize the payment of our outstanding stipends. We believe that your kind heart and passion for humanitarian deeds will guide you in rectifying this situation promptly.
Furthermore, we would like to emphasize that the NSIP has made significant strides in improving the lives of vulnerable individuals across the country.
However, without the support and dedication of independent monitors, the effectiveness and impact of these programs may be compromised.
By ensuring the prompt payment of our stipends, you will not only alleviate our financial burdens but also motivate us to continue our important work with renewed enthusiasm.
In conclusion, we implore you to take immediate action to address the non-payment of our stipends since January till date. Your intervention will not only restore our faith in the NSIP but also demonstrate your commitment to the well-being of the independent monitors.
We trust in your leadership and sincerely hope that you will consider our plea and resolve this matter urgently.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we eagerly await a positive response from your esteemed office.
Yours faithfully,
Iyke Mba
