23/3/2021

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC organized a stake holders meeting today 23rd of march 2021.

The meeting which was attended by stakeholders from various Political parties, Security agents and concerned citizens was held at the Aba North local government head quarters.

As usual the ever energetic house of representatives spokesman Rep Benjamin Kalu was there to represent the All Progressive Congress.

While speaking at the meeting, Rep Benjamin Kalu emphasized on the need for all parties involved in the election to play by the rules and shun politics of bitterness, desperation and violence.

Rep Benjamin Kalu commended the efforts of the INEC in planning a free and fair election in Aba while advising all to play by the rules.

Rep Benjamin Kalu afterwards joined the entourage of the Senate Chief Whip H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu on the continuation of the ongoing tour of wards in Aba.

Wards visited today were ward 5 at Umuobutu street, Omuma street, Urata ward 6, Asa Okpuno and others.

They were welcomed by jubilant crowd who hailed the senator for being the best governor Abia state ever had. It can be recalled that when H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu was governor of Abia State, he introduced the policy of free education for all students in Abia State for indigens and non indigens. He also had other skills aquisition programs for the youth and the unemployed citizens.

Rep Benjamin Kalu, while addresing the crowd, listed some of the numerous achievements of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, some of them includes:

Prompt payment of salaries when he was a governor,

Building the Enyimba international stadium,

Pushing Eyimba fc to become African champions,

Building roads and bridges in Aba which are still in existence and many other projects.

But what tickled the fancy of the crowd that made them go haywire was when Rep Benjamin Kalu revealed how H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu fought recently and got the approval of the presidency for the reconstruction of the railway line that transverses the south east geo political zone.

H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has built 22 roads since becoming a senator  barely 18 months ago and he is reconstructing and renovating over 50 schools of some have already been completed and are being used in his senatorial district.

In his words " H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu is a man with an eagles eyes and all the candidates he supported in Abia have proven to be very resourceful. He supported me and today I am the Spokesperson of the house of representatives of the federal republic of Nigeria now delivering dividends of democracy to my Constituency.

H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu also supported Rep Nkeiruka Onyejiocha and today she is the highest ranking female legislator in Nigeria and now delivering the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of her Constituency.

H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu is supporting Hon Mascot Uzor Kalu  because he knows that Hon Mascot Uzor Kalu will turn the fortunes of Aba around and deliver the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of Aba."

Prominent among OUK's entourage were:

Rep Benjamin Kalu spokesman of the house of representatives,

Dr Chidi Madueke,

Rt. Hon. Prince Sebastian,

Chief Ikenna Ariwodo OBINUDO BENDE,

Dr Emeka Nwaogu,

Rev. Mrs Jumaima Ola Kalu,

Hon Emeka Ibegbulam,

Chief Daniel Akwari OSUZOR,

Hon Acho Obioma CHOMEN,

Hon Chijioke Chukwu Member representing Bende North in the Abia State House of Assembly,

Dr Ukaoha,

Rev. Mrs Ifeoma Agwu,

Hon Obinna Oriaku,

Dr Chicks Maduka,

Hon Sabastian Awa,

Dr Mrs Ori Obasi,

Hon Igboko Christian and others too numerous to mention.

The high point of the tour was when H.E Dr Orji Uzor Kalu took the stage to address the people. He started with songs of praise to God and the people responded by almost turning the visit to a worship session.

O.U.K sang and danced with the crowd before passing his messages. He reminded the people of Aba that APC is not an hausa party, but rather a National party where the igbos can achieve the ambition of having an Igbo president by 2023 and by voting for APC on Saturday, that will be a message to the APC leadership at the federal level that the igbo's are ready to take over, after buhari.

In his remarks, he stated that the APC led federal government sighted it's single most largest project in south east and that the Niger bridge is the most expensive project that the Federal government is currently handling and by voting for APC in the forthcoming elections, the people of Aba and indeed the Igbo's will have more stake in the federal government.

He concluded by telling them not to be deceived again, vote for APC, vote Hon Mascot Uzor Kalu and the crowd went into wild jubilation singing and chanting, say that no more will they vote for a party that has refuse to pay workers salaries, a party that senator of Abia South represents and for 16 years he has not even built one single road. No more will they be deceived again.
