POLITICAL HEAVYWEIGHTS FROM BENDE LGA STORMED IGBERE FOR EXPANDED CAUCUS MEETING

It was a gathering of major political stake holders in Bende LGA at Camp Neya, the country home of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate.

The meeting which was called by the All Progressive Congress APC for the purpose of constituting an expanded caucus in Bende LGA was chaired by the house of representatives spokesman Rep Benjamin Kalu and heavily attended by dignitaries and stake holders in the All Progressive Congress APC Bende Caucus.

Hon. Chijioke Chukwu was unavoidably absent as state legislators were having a seminar in Owerri.

DIG Azubuike Udah, Hon Nna Nna Uzor Kalu and Hon Onoh Onyebuchi were also unavoidably absent.

The meeting was kicked off with an opening prayer by Chief Daniel Akwari OSUZOR and after breaking of kola nut, the chairman Rep Benjamin Kalu made the opening speach.

In his remarks, the chairman of the meeting Rep Benjamin Kalu stressed the importance of the ongoing registration/ revalidation exercise for members of the All Progressive Congress APC and urged all the stake holders to contribute their quota to ensure that the exercise is hitch free and enticing enough for others to join and get registered unmolested.

Speaking further, he extolled the virtues of the leader of the party in Abia North, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu the Senate Chief Whip, whom he described as an institution, a great man of honor who inspires millions of Nigerians.

In his remarks, the Senate Chief Whip Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, thanked everyone for attending the meeting, special thanks to Amb. Bala Meriga and his team, chairman revalidation and registration committee in Abia State who were there to witness the revalidation/ registration exercise in Bende LGA.

He also thanked Chief Smart Ukaoha for joining the APC, Chief Ikenna Ariwodo OBINUDO BENDE for fighting for the party, thanked Chief Chekwas Okorie for having faith in the All Progressive Congress APC and went further to list the numerous achievements of the APC in Bende LGA. 

The highpoint of the meeting was the official revalidation of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu's membership of the All Progressive Congress APC and the handing over of his membership card to him.

In his remarks, Amb Bala Meriga said he was overwhelmed by the turn out of stake holders at the meeting and thanked the people of Bende LGA for their hospitality and warm welcome meted out to him and his team.
