In a vibrant display of political enthusiasm and community spirit, the citizens of Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) in Abia State turned out in droves to welcome the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, PhD, CFR.

The occasion marked the inauguration of the Obingwa chapter of the Renewed Hope Partners, a movement aimed at galvanizing support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the region.

Many defectors were also received into the APC, as they pleged new allegiance with Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu and the APC.

Prominent among them is the former PDP State Secretary, Barr. Ibe Nwadioha, who was received into APC with his followers in Obingwa LGA.


In Obingwa, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu was also honored with a chieftaincy title.

The Renewed Hope Partners initiative aims to create a platform for citizens to engage actively in governance, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs addressed.
