Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu: A Profile in Leadership and Reform



Benjamin Okezie Kalu is a standout figure in Nigerian politics—merging effective governance, constitutional reform, regional development, and educational innovation.

Rt hon Benjamin Kalu also sponsored Constitutional amendments, Nigerian Meteorological Agency Bill, University of Nigerian Languages, Aba, and Women’s special seats, among others.

His visionary peace and social empowerment initiatives are also commendable.

He also initiated the Peace in the South East Project (PISE-P)—a non-military peacebuilding initiative addressing socio-economic unrest in the region.

He has received numerous Honors and acclaim from across the Southeast underscoring his unifying stance and inclusive leadership.

Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu's advocacy for education and future-ready curriculum is worthy of emulation.

At the University of Calabar convocation, he urged universities to shift from theoretical knowledge to technology -focused, problem - solving education, highlighting AI, cybersecurity, data science, and robotics.
