The Commonwealth of Nations, a political association of 54 member states, was established in 1949 with the aim of promoting peace, democracy, and development among its diverse member countries. 

As the organization celebrated its 75th anniversary, representatives from member states gathered at the House of Commons in the United Kingdom to mark this significant milestone. 

Among them was the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.

Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu's presence at the House of Commons to commemorate the Commonwealth's 75th anniversary is a testament to Nigeria's commitment to the values and principles of the organization.
