For decades the people of Amorji Imenyi have suffered dilapidated infrastructures, lack of basic amenities and inaccessible roads. It even gets worse during the rainy seasons when they get completely cutoff from neighbouring communities and the entire outside world due to overflowing rivers and non existent motorable roads. The situation got worse in the last decade which has forced a lot of people from the community to relocate to other parts of the country in other to ply their trade or to seek for greener pastures. By Taiwo Akerele In the last few years the Buhari administration has come handy to save the states from fiscal collapse using different tools such as direct intervention through grants, direct ways and means from the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN), COVID-19 loans, SIFTAS loans, agriculture support loans otherwise referred to as Anchor Borrower program, BOI loans, food supply from the national stock and other enormous palliatives.
