ASEPP CONGRATULATES HON. BENJAMIN KALU ON HIS COURT VICTORY

The Association of South East Professors and professionals (ASEPP) has congratulated Honorable Benjamin Kalu, the spokesman of the House of Representatives for his victory at the court today. In a release signed by Prof. Nwaubani and Prof. Florence Orabueze, Secretary and publicity secretary respectively,  the apex body convened by Prof. Victor Ukaogo said the lawmaker has been vindicated and wished him well in his future endevours. 

It will be recalled that Comrade Okey Ezeala of APC had approached the courts with certificate forgery allegations against Benjamin Kalu and urged the court to declare his seat vacant having obtained the position through fraud. The judgement however held that change of name is not synonymous with forgery. 

In the release,  ASEPP saluted the courage of the lawmaker's commitment to the service to his constituents during the period of the court process. The Association said that 'we appreciate your doggedness in this period of crisis especially so as you did more in projects' for your constituents at this time. ASEPP further pledged to work together with lawmaker in pursuing the interest of the South East.
