UNKNOWN GUN MEN BURN DOWN BENDE POLICE STATION HOURS AFTER NNENNA UKEJE'S VISIT.

.....As Bende youths decry the sharade of the over hyped civic reception.

The much talked about civic reception has come and gone and indeed it has attracted the good, the bad and the ugly to Bende LGA headquarters.

The civic reception which was organized by PDP party faithfuls in honor of hon Nnenna Ukeje was a big source of discomfort to indigens and residents of the area as the hired crowd which came in buses from different parts of Abia State caused a stir and became a source of worry to the people of the area.

The civic reception had in attendance, a faction of the PDP in Bende LGA, party chieftains from across Abia State, stake holders and the executive governor of Abia State.

The blaring of syrene from the governor's convoy, the stern looking military men that accompanied him, the unruly behavior of the hired crowd was also a cause for concern.

Hours after their departure, gun shots filled the air as unknown gun men attacked the divisional police headquarters in Bende LGA, no life was lost but the police station was completely burnt to the ground.
