African midfielder voted Danish FC Player of the Year

African midfielder Frank Onyeka was voted Danish club FC Midtylland’s Player of the Year after an outstanding season for the newly crowned league champions, Completesports.com reports. Midtylland disclosed this after posting a picture of Onyeka on their verified Twitter handle receiving his award at the weekend. The 22-year-old scored four goals made two assists in 35 appearances in all competitions for Midtylland in the just concluded season. His impressive performance helped the club clinch their third league title which they last won in 2018. It was Onyeka’s second trophy with the club since he joined them in 2018 after winning the Danish Cup in the 2018/2019 campaign. He joined Midtylland from Nigerian club side FC Ebiede.

Senate approves Rehabilitation of Eastern Railway Line

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday urged the executive arm of government to prioritise the commencement of the rehabilitation and concession agreement for the Eastern corridor of railway line.    The Senate made this resolution while considering a motion on “urgent need to resuscitate and reactivate the rehabilitation and concession of the Eastern Rail line Project”, sponsored by Orji Uzor Kalu, and co-sponsored by 102 other senators.   Presenting the motion, Kalu highlighted that one of the greatest challenges facing the country as an emerging economy is poor infrastructural development. Pope Francis cancels the Bible and proposes to create a new book. Pope Francis surprised the world today by announcing that the Bible is totally outdated and in need of radical change; thus, the Bible is officially cancelled and a meeting with high personalities  where the book that will replace it, as well as the name and the content, will be decided is announced by the church.  Some names are already under study and the most plausible is "Biblia 2000".  «We cannot keep trying to talk to our audience in a completely new world with an old book of several thousand of years. We are losing disciples and we have to seek to modernize the church, rewrite the Word of God, even if it is only the Old Testament, in which there are certain passages which are better not to be repeated.«. Covid 19- Commissioner recovers, shares experience

The Commissioner for Information in Delta, Mr Charles Aniagwu, recently discharged from COVID-19 isolation after testing positive for the virus, has recounted his experience. Speaking to news men , Aniagwu thanked Deltans and other Nigerians who prayed fervently for his recovery, and explained that he voluntarily went for the test having been in the frontline of sensitisation and enforcement of the state government’s directives on measures to curb spread of the pandemic. According to him, initially I had thought that for somebody who has been in the centre of the sensitisation in the state, and that I could just go for test to help deal with the issues of prejudices that exist among the people on the reality of the pandemic and the measures. "As at when I went for the test, I was not even having any symptoms, but between the time I was tested and when the result came out, I lost my sense of smell. ``So, it became obvious that there was something wrong and 24 hours late
